About Tamarin Bay Beach
The Bay Of Tamarin is located on the southwest coast of Mauritius. It also called the surfing centre of Mauritius. Although you may have long phases where you may notice no surfing activity as winter is usually considered the best time to go surfing in the waters of Tamarin Bay.
Its waters are less gentle compared to the other beaches still the surrounding landscapes add great beauty and depth to the Bay of Tamarin. Beyond the palm and casuarina trees are some lush green forests and mountains. There is also an old volcano that has been there for ages. It would be ideal to take trekking trip down these forests and experience the ecology of the forests.
You will see the estuary Montage du Rempart across the river and it's an absolutely wonderful visual. The Bay of Tamarin is a small beach and is ideally situated close to many other beaches. It has medium grained powdery sand and lots of coconut palm trees around the vicinity. A nice place to set base while you enjoy your holiday.
